Dear Santa Rosa City Schools Community,

I am writing with an important update about schools and the role we all have in preventing the community spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Sonoma County, along with Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Solano counties, is officially announcing continued distance learning through May 1, 2020. This means students will continue learning from home through May 1st unless circumstances change regarding COVID-19.

You will be receiving more information about distance learning procedures, Chromebook distribution, state assessments, and other pertinent information.  Please know that “Grab and Go” lunches and mental health supports continue to be provided.

Thank you once again for your patience as we all adjust to the challenges of staying at home and communicating with each other in new ways. Any updates will be posted on our district website, srcschools.org, and Facebook and Twitter: @SRCSchools. If you have questions related to school, contact your principal or our district email: communication@srcs.k12.ca.us

Take care,
Dr. Diann Kitamura
Superintendent, Santa Rosa City Schools
